While I have a small and growing Bloodbound force, it is not one I am particularly concentrating on at the moment, preferring to do a little here and there. However, the Bloodwrack Medusae were simple enough that I managed to pop in another unit and two heroes for the Khorne boys – Skullreapers, a Slaughterpriest and a Skullgrinder!

Despite being ‘different’ from the standard dark red and brass of GW’s usual Bloodbound, the black armour of the Eight-Blooded is ‘Khorne enough’ to make them recognisable but still separate them from the rest of the crowd. It also has the benefit of being dead simple to do, with the only complication being the armour lining which is bare metal below the waist and a darker red above.

I grabbed the Skullreapers from eBay, already built. This made them super quick to get through and they will give the Blood Warriors of the Eight-Blooded something to aspire to…

This Skullgrinder is actually the second I have painted (the first belonging to my more traditional Bloodbound force that has since been sold on), and I really like this model – plenty of motion in it as he prepares to batter someone around the face with his flaming anvil.

And finally another Slaughterpriest for the Eight-Blooded, as I figure they are a particularly devote group of skull hunters…

That will be it for the Eight-Blooded for a little while (though I want to start really rocking the numbers on Blood Warriors in the not too distant future), and all efforts are now being put towards finishing Morathi off…
